An insane level of buildup that rightly began 12 years ago culminated in a global launch that had the entire world on its toes. A horde of impatient fans waited with bated breath for the chance to finally get their hands on their prize, and the only thing stopping each and every one of them was the person in line before him.
The line started as early as Monday morning and swelled to 10,000 at its peak, absolutely overcrowding the mall and snaking into adjacent streets. Eager teenagers and budding veterans of the game who persisted long enough to make it into Funan Mall (Singapore) saw what was arguably the most anticipated video game launch in history.

We’re pleased to announce that everyone who gets the Southeast Asia/Australia/New Zealand version of StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty™ will have the option of playing on North American servers!
While the localized Battle.net® server is just as kickass, offers lower latency and more action during peak hours, we recognize that many players have longstanding friendships and rivalries with North American players, and would like to continue playing with them.
